My mother in laws coming for sunday dinner and i don't know what to use as a centerpiece.?

How about some small candles with fresh flowers and Mary in the middle.
Be nice and get a floral centerpiece with a cnadle in the middle that has flowers that she likes. You will make your mother in law happy and that is something good. Next time she might do something good for you.

The mary statue is a bit too much as a center pc. Go with the candle.
Go floral, some ladies don't like candles and others don't like mary statues however all like some type of florals. Try to find out what her favorite colors are, if not, find out her state flower. If that fails go with beautiful roses but don't make the arrangement to large, just simple and nice. Might not be a bad idea to put a little tag on the floral such as "Welcome To Our Home Maggie" .

How about both (floral and candles)? I have fresh flowers on my table all summer (thanks to my garden), and it's sch a beautiful way to welcome people. Throw a couple taper candles on each side of the arrangement and you can't go wrong. :) Good luck!
