Get a hammer and bang each tile in the middle. It will crack. Then get a sharp chisel and hammer it under the cracked tile. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR EYE PROTECTION.
Break it up with a hammer or sledge hammer. Wearing protective eye wear, gloves, etc. Have a box you can put the pieces in as you are going along.
