Salvation Army Thrift stores. Call around and see what they have. Can't hurt...and the money goes to a worthy cause.
I dont live in Kansas but you should be able to make really easy and cheap if you have any experience at all with tools. All you would need is a circular saw, hammer, drill, nails, and srcrew. For wood you would need is some 2x6's and some 1x2's.

some people will have things posted that they don't want- but too good to throw away. Also to get rid of things that you may not want.
try ebay. Or advertise it in Craiglist.
