What would you do if when buying a home..?
Question:you find a brand new modular home that doesnt really have character on the outside (just a perfect rectangle) but is gorgeous on the inside and has everything you want HUGE kitchen Enormous Bathroom, full basment garage walk up attic, nice size rooms, etc ,etc but doesnt have much land either no deck or porch,should i still consider buying it since the inside is my dream home? like i said its brand new actually not completely finished yet, but the land is small and theres no character to the outside?

If I were you, I would look at it as an opportunity.
Basically, you have found a home that fits your needs on the inside. As you said, your "dream home".
Modular homes are built exactly the same way as other homes, they're just built somewhere else and assembled on site. That means you can add your own character and personality to your home. When you get around to building a deck or patio, it can be built to be a part of your dream too, instead of someone elses. For that matter, you may decide later on down the road that you don't even want a porch or deck. Since it's not there, you have the ability to do what you want in your own time.
Ask yourself this. Is this home a place you want to live, or an investment? If you're buying it with happiness in mind, you should buy it. If you're trying to make a buck later on when you sell, run far and fast.
Ultimately, you have to be the one to make the choice.

I would buy it. Once you own it, you'll be able to add things to the outside to give it more curb appeal. Even without much land you should still be able to add a deck or porch. How about shutters for the windows? And don't forget about landscaping...that can really add lots of curb appeal to a home.
One other thing you might want to consider...now that you've found a home that has everything you want in a dream home, you'll compare all other houses to it and they will probably come up short.
Don't waste any time...buy the house now before someone else has a chance..you don't want it to slip through your fingers.

Personally I would probably go ahead and buy it. The exterior may not be what you are looking for but if the interior (where you will spend most of your time) is what you are looking for and you are comfortable I would say it is a go. The exterior can be changed (color, patio's, deck's, etc), that is all cosmetic.
i would snap it up before it is sold! adding character on the outside is much easier then trying to build your dream home in the inside!!
pain it a nice colour
ad a hanging basket
plant flowers if you have a garden
you can add some character very easy on a budget, if you have more money you could refinish the front of the house with stone or slate or something like that!!

If not completely finished, ask contractor/realtor if a porch or deck can be added. If so, add over walk-out basement. There should be some room there. You need something. Or, later you can lay a cement deck from the walk-out basement,
but I would do it now, since they haven't finished it. If can't do and you truly love this house, however, I would find one with everything I need with no extra expense and fits my budget.
I'm looking for my 3rd house and that's what I am doing.
First I would get a home inspector to inspect the finished house as far as the outside goes you can give the house character but plan on spending money to accomplish this like hiring a landscape co. to re-do the outside landscape and maybe a contractor to add some components to the structure IE. deck arbor gazebo etc. also it might be a good idea to get someone to do the walk thru that is impartial third party to point out things that might not be right about this house
Do you plan on sitting outside mumbling about the houses lack of character or spending quality time inside enjoying everything you wanted? The outside can be "facelifted" later. Grab this house while you can.
Curb appeal is an important factor should you ever plan to sell but you can create that yourself. Add your deck or patio, add sidewalks, shrubs and trees. Create a look for your home.
For me, if it lacks the other amenities then it really is not the "perfect' home that I'd be looking for. I know I would not jump at it thinking it will be gone if I don't jump. I would spend my time really looking around, go through a realtor who is tied to a network of realtors - they have access to so much more and can show you a place more suited to what you want and your budget. It is truely a faster way to sort out the ones that don't fit your desires.
