New home all is painted the same color inside i would call it a mustard color even over head?

Yuck, Mustard? One thing to remember is to make sure you prime over the mustard color so that it does not bleed through your new paint. If you have neutral beige carpet you should be able to go with any color you are comfortable with. I paint my walls so often, and one thing I have learned; Don't go with an "impulse" on the color, you tend to get tired of it quicker. Neutral colors tend to keep me satisfied longer. (Browns, Deep Greens with Brown Hues are my favorites!)
Just remember with paint,if you don't like what you have done its easy to change,also keep in mind the darker you go the more closed in your living space feels.I don't know the size of your bedroom but I tend to like cool colors(relaxing) to the feel and eye.If you have a big bedroom,sometimes its nice to paint on wall a color like a very cool sage(not to bright) on the smallest wall,depending on the lay out of your room accompanied by a real creamy cream like color,and I think it looks great if you do your baseboards and trim around the door etc.in a few shades darker then the color you have chosen.I would definitely steer away from any Blue in any room,its awful...however a really light violet on one wall can be very soothing.You want your room to feel cool peaceful and relaxing.
