How easy is it to line drawers?
Question:I'm moving in to a new place and the drawers are freaking me out! I have nice, coated shelves where I am right now, but in the new place it's just plain wood...with lots of paint on the outside...lovely! They look dirty already, so I would like to use contact paper to line just about everything in the apartment, is it worth the hassle? Is it a hassle at all? Thanks!
Answers:
They've improved contact paper so much from years ago. It is so simple to do now and well worth it. I hate dirty stained shelves myself and cover all my shelves with it. Just follow the easy to follow instructions.
Easy / Peasy. Cut the material, peel the back and stick it down.
God Bless
I helped my mom do it when I was a teenager and it wasn't much of a hassle and was worth it. Just make sure you cut the contact paper properly first and have a second pair of hand to help stick it in. Never remove the film completely, do it gradually just like most people do with band-aids ;-)
I line everything, but make sure that you get good quality...the first set that I put in my kitchen moved too much and was such a hassle...
