Question about painting the inside of my house?

Question:I am in the midst of painting the inside of my house. It's a rich color so it needed two coats. I let the first coat dry and then did another coat. Then I went to pull off the painters tape, which stuck to the tacky paint and pulled off parts of the paint. What can I do to fix this? The wall doesn't look smooth anymore!

Answers:
if using painters tape you should remove it before the paint dries completely. try a strait edge such as a dry wall mud trowell. place the trowell in the corner and with a loaded brush follow the strait edge. it may take several coats to make the surface look even.

what a drag! You will have to lightly sand the ridge where the tape was, then repaint. I find that painters tape can only stay on a few hours, but there is even lower adhesive tape. good luck.
