check out a type of flooring that looks like wood and seems to have a pretty tough finish. its not been on the market long.search for "Kenecto flooring" don't use the lowest cost . you'll have to seal it yourself and it will show scratches if you use a gloss sealer. its water proof
Not carpet. We live in the woods, 2 dogs, 5 cats and a 3 year old. My husband put carpet in 14 years ago when he bought the house and wishes he never had. Everyone we know who lives in the woods swears by hardwood or laminate floor. Our friends put laminate in their house about 7 years ago and it still looks beatiful. Be sure to get a good quality laminate that will withstand the dog claws. (NOT PERGO).
a good sealed wood flooring and or tile and darker color tile with darker grout is good hides alot more dirt than lighter colored.
