How to paint over finished procelain?

Question:I have a day bed made out what I think is a form of porcelain, at least it looks like it. It has these decorative balls on the top. They are painted with flowers. This bed is about 15 years old and I want to update it by painting those balls over. What kind of paint would I need and any special techniques? I would just cover it with a solid color...thank you :)

Answers:
Get those balls off the bed, and sand them -hard- to scratch them up a bit so they'll hang on to the paint. Spray paint them the color you want, building up very thin layer after layer, allowing each to dry thoroughly between applications. Use an epoxy type paint.

If it really is porcelain, don't try to paint it. I have tried several different products that supposedly are made just for that, and the results were disappointing.
go to PPG.Com and ues their product finder. It will show you an epoxy that will work great
