Im a 15 year old and redoing my room. what color?
Question:i want something grown up but still girly. no hot pink everywhere please. as an accent would be fine though.
i have a couple ideas so far:: brown and pink// white (red blue and yellow accents)// brown and teal with orange accents. any ideas?

I would say stick to neutral colors for the walls. That way if you ever want to change colors of your comforter or decorations it will still match. Like tan, cream, or white. There is also things like wall stickers called wallies that are easily removed. You can buy them at Michaels or any craft store basically.

Brown and pink sounds like it would be pretty together.Try 1 color about 1/3 up the wall from the floor. I think that looks pretty.My room is brown and i love it. But don't go to dark with the brown you will make ur room look very small and closed in.3 of my walls are brown and one end wall is creamy white to open it back up.
Just keep in mind that light colors make the room seem larger and dark colors make the room feel smaller. So if the room is small already go light.
Think of your favorite colors then go from light to dark. Walls painted with the lighter shades trim in darker shades. If you have a third color make one wall that color as a accent wall.
Ceiling should be a off white.
the brown teal and orange would be cute if you were doing a retro theme with like dots n stuff and some funky brightly colored accessories .i wouldnt use a ton of the brown tho...maybe the furniture or summin..but thats just me

the way to decide how your going to redo your room is to look for one piece and base your room off of it weather it be a curtian, a blanket, or a picture. Right now is a great time to do it because all of the dorm stuff is coming out so everywhere you go your going to get good deals and a lot of the things i think your looking for.

you should always choose a color that you have a positive response to, look at your color choice and decide how that particular makes you feel. Blue is calming and so is green. Red and yellow can make people feel excited or anxious.
Do a beach theme, or a fun theme like polka dots and flowers. Pink, brown and white are good colors to choose. Maybe some black as well.
