Is it possible to remove tile paint from tiles?
Question:
Answers:
since we dont know what sort of tiles you have and the composition of the paint on them... you will just have to try the softest solution first before increasing the harder removers.
* try your nail paint remover with soft cotton
* move on to turpentine with soft cotton
* third option is industrial cleaner with soft cotton
* try soft scrubber with industrial cleaner
* take your research to a local hardware store (guy at the corner shop may be more useful than larger stores like B&Q when needing some expert opinion)
* I would use the razor as a last resort (but i would not use the razor at all on antique tiles or hand made tiles or semi-precious stone tiles)
All the best.
i would try steaming it with a wallpaper steamer and lightly scrape it with s scraper being careful not to scratch the tiles, maybe abit messy,
Like porcelain tiles on the wall? or like the more thinner tile that goes on the floor? I usually try to run a razor across it lightly and rub it off. Not sure what type of tile you're working with though. Might also try rubbing lightly paint remover on it?
Looks like water, smells like wine
OMG it's turpentine!
Yes it is, I have found Nitromors removes paint from anything, though you doneed plenty of ventilation when using it.It is available from most paint & decorating stores.
Yes it is when i moved into my property my bathroom tiles were covered in some sort of paint and i used a steamer it took for ever but it worked
get a tin of paint stripper put it on with a brush and then the paint will just scrape of so easily with a paint scrapper but put a mask on your face to stop the fumes can be a bit strong i always open the door to let the fumes go out they are not that stong but its wise
there is a solvent out there that will remove the tile paint. go to a hardware store and they will show you. BUT do you know what lurks beneath?.
