Freecycleâ„¢ Network
One person's junk can be another's treasure
I belong to my local group (they are nationwide) it's a great way of giving away unwanted goods, to peole who do want them.
Check it out.
Where do you live? Westchester County has an exchange called Treasure Hunt, where people can give or get things for free.
Ask a thrift shop if they want it - like Salvation Army or Goodwill.
Advertize it in the paper as "free."
www.freecycle.co.uk
OR contact your local council, they can put you in touch with your local furniture re-use organisation
craigslist.com
www.freecycle.org
see if there is a freecycle groups in your area through Yahoo! groups.
'phone your localcouncil. They sometimes have a unit for the refurbishment of old furniture, It's worth a try
leave it outside with a for sale sign on it. it will be stolen in an hour!!!!!!
If it's clean and in good condition, donate it to a Goodwill or Salvation Army type place and take it as a tax deduction.
so long as it has fire retardent labels on it your local council will take it to give to someone less fortunate. if it hasnt try freecycle.co.uk where like minded people trade unwanted goods.
