Really cool refreshing colour from Nippon paint: Celery Seed. Finished colour looks the colour of celery. You can combine that with brown doors (the colour of belgian chocolate). Go wild with cushions in yellows, oranges, and reds.
maybe mixing a nice wicker color with just a tad of sunshine yellow, but don't over-do the yellow. be creative!! have fun!!
something in the earth tone family. or darker.
Is your kitchen open to the living and dining room? A shade of green 2 to 3 times darker than the kitchen would look good. or a taupe or ecru, darker or lighter than the sofa. What colour are the drapes? You may want the wall colour the same as the drapes. Hope this helps you decide
beige and very light browns never fail.
sandtone would be nice.
Hi, I would use in the living room a Bone White,or Antique White. get an egg-shell as it's more durable and can be scrubbed. I would than use a slightly darker tan colour for the trim. Use a semi-gloss on that. In the Kitchen look at the colours under the ,"Touch of Colour" paint chips. Those particular ones are Glidden. I Have a Green colour in my kitchen that's almost, almost green. But not quite. It only has a touch or hint of green tint in it. The colour is called ,"Glace". Than use a Bright White as a trim colour. Use semi -gloss or High Gloss in the kitchen area. It's very washable, which is what you want in a kitchen. Look at all the colour chips in a faded, or hint of,or whatever the paint company's call them. Take some home with you, don't decide to fast, just take your time. Some paint company's have a site on computer that lets you look at the colour's on the walls of a room, than change the trim look, or whatever. Frazzee is one of them . also look at the Glidden,Bher, Dutch-Boy, Dun Edwards sites. Good Luck! Bye
I would do peach walls for contrast with the wood/upholstery; or the yellow of the sunflowers [ light gold? ] to tie it all together. Use the color you didn't put on the walls for lamps/shades/pillows/rugs. [ peach w. gold, or gold w. peach ]
Add beautiful art [ poster/picture/figure ] in your favorite colors, and some plants. You house will be bright and welcoming without being gaudy.
