Repainting my room.?
Question:I want to do stripes, i want light yellow, and another color, with a smaller white stripe in between the 2 colors. But i don't know what color would go good with the light yellow for the 2nd color. Any suggestions? (it doesn't have to match any kind of furniture or anything cause i'm getting new furniture so i'm just looking for a color that goes good with light yellow.)

almost every color will go of different hues of the color. go 2 the paint store.. take sample of the yellow & white u want to use ( so many of choices of ea color yel/ wh) u can scan it at Home Depot & it will give u suggestions orrrrr look at the pamphlets they have in the yellow section. Then p/u several samples of the same color(s) put them on the wall w/ u'r yel/wh & look at them thru out the day & nt.. that will help u p/u out which u like & what u'r aiming for in a look for the room. It sounds like u may b heading towards soft/cottage/springy look, which is awsome!
do 1 wall... if u don't like it. My motto: " it's paint! U can always re-do it!"
have fun!
If you want to go with what is popular on the home decorating shows right now Brown/khaki/tan is in. It is neutral and every national chain is full of browns right now.
If you are wanting a feminine look, go with peach.
If you are wanting a sophisticated look go with a cream/ivory
blue or green.
I did pink and yellow in the play house I made- that looked nice with pastel mini lights around it.
A teal green would look good too.
