What are some must haves for Dorm rooms??

Question:I going to a collage this summer and need to make a list of things I need and am going to want. Can anyone help??

Answers:
Bedding - Sheets, blanket, comforter or spread, throw pillows and sleep pillow. [ check bed size before purchasing ], a largish rug [ figure out room size, ffurniture, etc;, and calculate size.]
Bath - towels, shower caddy to tote shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush and paste, etc. Even if your room has a bath, it will keep things organized.
Cooking - coffee or hot pot [ water for tea, soup, cocoa ], fridge, microwave; a few dishes [ so you'll be forced to wash them! ], travel mug to take to class in AM, packets of coffee/tea/soup/oatmeal/cocoa,... instant popcorn!
Storage - measure under bed to see if you can store 'under bed storage containers'
Laundry - laundry basket [ so you can fold before you leave the laundry ], detergent, softener or sheets, and stain treater.
Music - check with roommates to decide if you need a stereo, TV, Playstation, etc - try to each bring a different thing .Ex: one brings TV and micro, one brings CD player and
fridge.
Your computer, etc.
I suggest a backpack and a messenger bag, with extra paper/pens/pencils in each one. It seems there is always a very heavy schedule at least two days a week, and much lighter the others.
Add a few posters and some Blutack, maybe a few photos.
Clothes - clean out your room before you go to college!
Donate used clothing that is wrong size, unflattering, or outdated. Also donate old toys, books, and recycle old magazines.
Then, figure out what you still need to buy!

First be able to spell college.
Mini fridge. Posters. Throw rug for floor.
A futon is nice if you can afford it and you have the space for it. Works as a couch and a place for visitors to sleep over
Trash can, throw rugs, dry-erase markers, cleaning supplies, first-aid kit, laundry basket, desk supplies, file box, towels, robe if you have to travel to your bathroom, sheets - twin if you're using the school's bed, floor cushions are good since they can be chunked on the bed if you need the floor space
Small dresser,fridge,microwave,toast... baskets for the top shelf in closet. My daughter needed all these for her dorm..
mini frig, desk and storage(like shelves or plastic boxes) and of course snacks
