bamboo is alsome flooring and bamboo grows like way faster than trees so you'll b doing something good
use dirt.its easy to clean
depends on your needs and personality but for a teen room best some carpet
as long as it is wood of some sort because then you don't have to worry about spilling anything on it and having tough stains to get out!
if it was my room I would go with bamboo. It come in a wide range of colors and it good for the environment.
Either you want real wood or not .
Laminate floors like "Pergo" look like wood but are very easy to take care of and clean .
I believe Armstrong makes a laminate flooring of many different colors
If you don't want hardwood, I have heard that a bamboo flooring it a great floor to have in lower traffic areas. It is a light wood, cheaper than hardwood, and very pretty. I assume that Armstrong had bamboo flooring available. One other thing, bamboo is a quickly growing renewable resource, so you aren't depleting our hardwood forests.
If you don't want hardwood, which is real wood, then go for laminate wood. It can be cheaper than hardwood and does not scratch as easily as wood does.

Armstrong has the best line of laminates, called Nature's gallery and it has a 30 year warranty and is considered to be the best in the industry by many a flooring person. It is a bit pricey for laminates---it costs between 8 and 12 bucks installed, depending on where you go.

Laminate is also a floating floor, in which it is not glued down, but rather floated down onto the floor. This makes for a quicker installation and you can enjoy it right away. Hardwood is glued down, engineered that is, and you have to let it set overnight before you can fully enjoy it.
