What would be your choice in flooring?

Question:for a front hallway? Laminate flooring or slate tiles?

Answers:
Just recently made the decision to go with tile in our home. We have a friend who does flooring of all types and he said that laminate would be fine in a bedroom or room that does not have alot of traffic. It just doesn't hold up as well as tile does. So, in a front hallway where you would have alot of "dirt" from inside walking in---tile would be the better choice. Good luck with your decision!

slate tiles
Slate tiles.
slate tiles
slate tiles i have the laminate and it's shot after 5 years.
Slate tiles, but buy a few extra so you can replace one or two if they get chipped or broken
laminate flooring, slate is stone that can get very cold making feet feel freezing.
I have both, and for cleaning hands down I prefer the laminate flooring, the slate grabs grime and never lets it go. The laminate floors are a breeze, even with dogs and kids I prefer my pergo floors. I have slate in my entry *its 2 years old) and I want to rip it out and put down more Pergo.
Laminate flooring is the best, there are many types of laminate flooring, try to get kronotex They are the best... check out the site.
Slate is cold unless you're willing to put the expense in for heating. Try bamboo as an alternate for laminate. Harder than hardwood, eco-chic and fashionable.
