with a steam stripper and a lot of elbow grease. its a job and a half. after you have stripped the walls you will need to wash them with some warm water and sugar soap to get all the stray bits of wood chip off. why anyone ever invented that paper i don't know. when i moved into my house every single room was done in wood chip. i wish you good luck
Hire a wallpaper stripper.it's the only way.
Its a bloody nightmare, when i moved into this house, every single room had it up, i had to hire a wall paper stripper.
Took a while but the stripper was the way to go..
Good luck..
Use a steam stripper, but use with care as over use can make the woodchip come off and the plaster too! Alternatively you can buy a new product to skim over it, smoothing the wall in the process. I cannot recall the name but it's made by polycell.
With great difficulty!!lol
It ain't pleasant or easy, just plain messy, but with a lil help from a paper stripper you may get it done a lil bit quicker!
Been there, not good!;D

the paper may be hiding something underneath so you may need to go carefull and or get it replastered after sorry but thats just my experience oh and may be cheaper to buy steamer if its going to take time b and q take a look.
little tiny hungry wood chipmonks
Hire a steam wallpaper stripper its a bit messy but its the only way if the papers been on a long time.
Be careful though big chunks of it falling off can be very hot when they land on your hands
instead of stripping it off, there is a new product on the market that covers it up. I think its called smoothover. We used it and it worked really well.
Use a wallpaper sripper, and if the woodchip paper has emulsion paint on top, the score the paper first to make the job easier.
