Bedding Question (Down or Synthetic?)?
Question:I want to buy a nice bedding set. I live in Florida. Is it possible to find a light weight (breathable) down comforter for warmer climates? If not, what would you suggest? Thanks!
Answers:
I think a light weight "summer" weight down would be your best bet because it allows moisture to wick easily. You can get two and double up when it gets cold. (does it get cold in Florida?) Overstock.com has a loy of good deals on comforters, but beware of the down/feather ratio. A true down comforter will be at least 75% down. http://overstock.com
Silk
Feather down comforters are great for cold climates,
but not for even the coldest 30 degree Florida winters eve.
The best bedding set out at this time is the one color(or print),
quilted comforter in quilted very small one inch squares.
They have pillow covers to match and are very rich looking to say the least.
I live in Florida as well and use a down comforter every night all year round because they are so comfortable! I purchased mine at Bed Bath & Beyond for about 100.00 (Queen Size) and it's nice a light in weight. Good luck!
Down mattress pad, down comforter in a light weight, down pillows. High thread count sheets. The combination will breathe. Macy's has the best sales on these items. Watch for it.
