In what direction the wooden flooring for a badminton court be laid ?

Question:I am installing a wooden flooring in a badminton court. Should the wooden strips be laid along the length of the court or across, irrespective of the room size ? In case the re be any lift on the floor the wooden due to expansion the wooden strip would be displaced at the end. Which way would it be dangerous , across aor along ?
