What color curtains should I get for my bedroom?

Question:I've just wallpapered my bedroom its mauve (light purple) with a dark purple feauture wall with a silver and purple border, just on the feauture wall. The furnitures mostly wooden. I can't decide what color to pick for my curtains, any ideas?

Answers:
i have a bedroom painted in 'grey lilac'-basically a subtle lilac color, and I used a golden ( yellow if you must, but not brassy), color curtains. The furniture have an expresso finish, and the light fixtures are opaque glass and stainless brushed steel. everyone likes it. i think an cream colored curtain may look good with your paint color. good luck!

p.s how about using cream sheers, and for the outer curtain, shimmery pale gold Dupioni silk??

Consider a darker shade of yellow if you want to be bold. Otherwise, go with a light grey or silver.
the accent color used the least.
black or silver
I would go with a light grey or lavender.
Try Black (my favorite color)
You already have enough colour in your room if you put curtains that are too couloured it's gonna look like a day care centre. I would go for white or cream. If you put anymore colour in your room It's gonna look childish..
i'm likeing your color scheme. i like contrasing my colors so i would say something like blue. but thats prolly not for u. so something like a silver or a lilac. something in the purple family should do really well.
Light, shimmery silver would look awesome.
light blue may be
i agree with tangarin
It sounds like there already is a lot of rich colour in your room, so you might want something quite neutral to soften the look, otherwise it will be like eating a heap of icing with no cake. A white or cream colour (depending on the shades of purple you have) would be quite nice a refreshing and give the room a sophisticated lift. If you had silver curtains, your room may end up looking a little tacky and if you add more purple, it'll make the room seem cold and a little dark.
I would buy a matching comforter drapes set from JC Penneys or use a solid dark purple if you like low light or are a day sleeper. If you like a lot of light, I would go with light purple sheers draped accross drawbacks. I am personally a big fan of light
white or light silver, sheer.
For a traditional or romantic design - in order or preference: Creamy White curtains with same color sheers, Dark purple with mauve or silvery sheers,or mauve with silvery sheers.
For an organic look - cream, purple, or mauve colored lightest linen or gauze fabric for roman shades.
If you can find silver, I'd go with that. If not, if the deeper purple accent wall is directly opposite to the windows then that would be your best choice, pull the colours together. You could also add a very light pink (rose) that borders on lilac or purple.
If your room is modern or at least casual, then I would recommend using silver or mauve of a suitable degree of brightness/dullness and darkness/lightness... you can also pick up another soft color from the room if there are any... always keep the harmony going... I hope I've been helpful!
Get a gold tone going in there.Purple hues with gold are really pretty...Gold or maybe gray.
