can i come?

Rent cool lights and smoke machines; maybe the DJ you hire will even have them.
Don't use your money on decorations, use it to buy booze.
Get a dj and decorate it with cheap stuff unless its really important. Use cheap stuff then get a dj and some preformers!
balloons, streamers, hand painted posters.
maybe some sort of ice cream related table centerpiece. ohhh i know, put ice cream toppings on each of the tables. oh and table covers.
streamers are always good some balloons with glitter inside of them maybe a paper machie kind of sculpture to represent the club say its a chess club u could make a rook or bishop something like that other ideas would be maybe a net to let loose ballons for more ideas watch movie that are in high school settings like 10 things i hate about u drive me crazy (chix flixs) they will give u tons of idea just scan threw to party scenes if u dont want to watch the movies
I would go for a themed decor. Incorporate ice cream and the colors of the club and you shouldn't have a problem. Maybe blue napkins, white utensils and yellow tableclothes or any variation of the such. Banners usually work well, too.
should put pitures of supper stars today.and have pitures of nakes girls
Go to a pary decorating store and buy 3 rolls of plastic table cloths. Rolls. Buy one of each color. Buy balloons of each color at the same store. Use the table rolls to drape from the corners at the ceiling to the middle of the room. Hang a huge bouquet of balloons with all 3 colors in the middle and at each corner where the drapes start. I'm sure you've seen this done before... think car dealship with huge draping cloth on the ceiling... It sorta makes it look like a huge tent.

Get beige posterboard and roll them up in a cone shape. Fill them with tissue paper (use your colors) and make them look like giant ice cream cones. Tape these to the walls or sit them in containers (umbrella stands would work great). Place these around the room.

Buy confetti in the colors you need and after you've covered the tables in what's left of the rolls of plastic table cloths, sprinkle some confetti on the centers of the tables. Buy matching napkins.

All together, this is about what it'll cost:

rolls of plastic table cloth: 3 rolls one of each color: +/- 24$
balloons: 3 bags one of each color: +/- 12$
Posterboard: +/- 5$
tissue paper: +/- 5$
Confetti: +/- 6$
Napkins: +/- 8$

Get the napkins, posterboard and tissu paper at the dollar store and you're all set!

Big decorations mean you don't need that many and these are easy to set up... your decorations will be a big hit!
Pick either blue ,white or yellow for your tablecloths!
Choose one of the other two colors for the napkins.
Make fake ice cream cones.
Size may be giant or smaller.
Use the yellow for the cone and white or blue for the ice cream.
Hang them from the ceiling.
Use cutouts of stylized ice cream parlor tables and chairs.
Display on stage or on feature wall.
Make a sign or write on a board.
Print all of the ice cream flavors that you can think of!
Streamers are always festive!
Have guys dressed as soda jerks!(hat and apron)
Get gals to wear frilly dresses.
You might post some facts about ice cream!
example. where ice cream was invented
..% of sugar in ice cream...etc
I hope your party is a success
