Will a Queen comforter set fit on a full size matress?
Question:I'm trying to get a beautiful comforter set for my mom. The problem the ones I love are all quenn or king comforter sets and my mom's bed is a full. Is it worth it to get the set even though its a queen or will it be dragging on the floor b/c it is soooo big?
Answers:
It will be fine as long as its super cute, you mother will find out how to fix it to make it work beautifully on her bed.
yes it will fit, it will be too big, so it won;t look great, so even a very nice comforter set would look shabby if it doesn;t fit.
it will be a little saggy but just tuck it in under the mattress and no one will notice
It depends on the brand but, it will probably look fine. I often buy my comforter a size bigger. Sheets can be adjusted, too. So, most people don't mind that they are a little big.
Hope This Helps! What a blessed mom!
A comforter will be fine (it's about 6-12 inches wider). A bedspread, designed to reach the floor, might drag.
The fitted sheet won't fit, and can't be tucked well enough to keep it from pulling out -- so purchase a full-sized fitted sheet. The larger queen flat sheet will be fine, in the same way that the oversized comforter will be.
A Queen Bed Spread would drag the floor.
But a Queen Comforter , Quilt or Duvet cover will just be a little to big.
I've bought a Quilt before that said it was a Queen / Full
A comforter is not as long or wide as a bedspread. I have definately used a queen comforter on a full bed. With some nice shams it can be very lovely. You just won't need a dust ruffle since it is and will be some longer, but it usually does not drag the floor so I would not be afraid of doing it. Hope that helps you make your decision.
