Kitchen floor remodel?

Question:we had large (16") ceramic tiles installed in center hall entry, dining room, living room and hallway leading to kitchen - it gives a really nice open appearance and flows well from room to room - 2 rooms leading off the center hallway are the kitchen to the right and den to the left - I'm stuck trying to figure out the best looking, most affordable, and longest wearing floor for the kitchen and den to complement the ceramic tiles

Answers:
Continue the ceramic tiles into the kitchen. If not the exact same ones, then ones in the same color family that are good for kitchens. Or go for real hardwood in a similar color/tone.

more tiles, try buying single tiles and trying to match color and finish
Go with Bamboo flooring... Looks great and very durable.. easy to clean...

You could also look at some laminate flooring solutions.. There are some great choices these days.
