Black and white checkered floor?
Question:Okay, I'm moving into my first house in about a month or two. The kitchen has a black and white checkered floor. The problem is, is that I wanted to do the rest of the house in beige and other soft clean colors. I want all the rooms to flow together. What color could I paint the kitchen in with my colors in mind that will also go the the checkered floors? Also, what color could I paint my cabinets? Right now all the walls are aqua! Definetly not my style! Thanks!

Black and white floors are VERY popular right now! Most of us have to spend money to get them, you already have them! Red and Yellow are both complimentary colors to black and white. Yellow brightens up a kitchen (nice in the mornings and on cloudy days). Red also goes well with a pale yellow (cabinets), you might try the walls. Heaven knows it's a work place, don't make it dreary lol...Good Luck! and have fun!
the cabinets should be light light light brown and the walls should be like maroonish kinda
You could paint your cabinets a clean white color. You could paint the kitchen a soft green, OR, you could paint the kitchen white with a dark red accent wall. Let your accessories make the room what you want it to be.
