that sounds really pretty! it won't glow unless you use a special paint. and the rest of the decor will determine it's "brightness". you can use the same color family like mints to compliment the green or go opposite like lavendar, or go closest color like a blue or pale yellow, or even go opposite like a red. you know what else might look nice is a dark neutral color like black or a dark grey like a charcoal with some dark green. that would look really nice. always remember the color wheel (red orange yellow green blue purple) and you can figure out colors by complimenting colors (colors right next to the main color) or opposite, or the "Y" system which is the main color and then the 2 colors that form a Y, in this case it would be orange and purple tones( not specifically the bright orange or purple, but muted tones, you don't want to "take away" from the main color, you just want to accentuate it.)

It most likely won't be called lime green, probably like aloe (which is a really pretty color by the way), or mint (which are really pretty too), or green apple, or split peas or something like that. I even think there's a key lime.

You can go to your local Home Depot or Lowe's store and get on the computer there that helps you pick out your color and accenting colors and even let's you see it before. I'm not sure if it will let you upload a picture of your own room but it will at least give you sample rooms that you can try the color on,

or go to http://www.behr.com/behrx/index.jsp... and go to ColorSmart Explore Color. It's pretty much the same system. I think it even let's you upload your own picture but I think you have to pay a fee. other than that, it has sample rooms you can try the colors on, it even gives you suggested coordinating combos. it's really an awesome website. and with the sample rooms, you can see if the colors work for you or not.

anyway, hope that helps!

Ok first of all it won't glow. I lvoe the color that your doing, but to keep it from looking chessy accent the room with white.
no. its a color. you need a special chemical. Lime green will not glow in the dark.
Tell Mom you have changed your mind

ask for Golf Course Green

it sounds expensive its LIME
Only if the paint contains the same chemicals as glow stick. I don't think they've come out with lime green paint that glows in the dark yet but one On second thought wouldn't it be cool to have a glow in the dark room!?!
Yes, the room will be glow (of course we are not talking about fluorescent light, or something like that).

If you want to decorate your room, remember:

a) It is your space, you need to be comfortable in it.
b) Too much things (visible) in it, is not convenient.
c) Good ventilation is convenient.
My room is lime green for half of it, and it's the half I sleep on. And I mean half literally. The ceiling and the walls, and there's lime green pillows and blankets and such, too.

When you say "glow in the dark" I'm assuming you don't mean literally "Neon and Glowsticks" kind of glow. I'm assuming you mean it will be too bright.

Let me assure you that no such thing will happen. Once the lights go out, the darkness swallows the color up like any other color. It'll still be green if you look closely, but it won't be bright and it won't "glow" in case your mom really did mean that literally in the dark.
