The Colors Of My Room?
Question:Could Sombody Please Help Me. I am Re-
Painting My Room, And I was wandering what color to paint it. I want it to be somewhat neutral...because I painted it green, Like a not lime green, but think about a darkish green with some white mixed...creamy green lol. Anyways...And I hate It!! What color for my room and what color for my accesoris? Please Help!! Greatly Appreciated! BTW, I have lik,e a cream colord carpet, and white furn.Also, my room isnt huge...but its not ity bity either. mostly because of my furnature...but still!! Thanks!

If you want to create color harmony you should look at colors in two categories. Warm colors and cool tone colors. If you use all warm tone colors then you Willl create color harmony. If you mix cool tones and warm tones in the same room they wil contrast one and other and may clash. If you go to your local Lowe's store they will have a color computer that you can change the color of a room with the push of a button. You can even buy the software and load it into your own computer at home for convenience. I think the cost is about $6 If you have a digital camera you can even load your own photo into the software and try any combo you like. After you have picked a few colors that you like go back to the store and you can buy some small samples of the colors you like to try on the wall. This is a great way to get a feel for how the room will look.
I would go with a very light peach to keep things bright.
Beige - you will be able to sell it later to a greater number of people. It will make your room look larger.
Accesories: you can keep whatever you had before! Beige goes with everything.
Light blue will be fine! use white for the accesories

Paint it an egg shell color (a very light tan). That way almost any other color will go with it. You don't what white because your furniture is white.
Did you ever think of a light purple or a nice creamy blue or red lol!!! Maby even a mix. you know my friend sammy she has a rainbow room she has all her favorite colors but i dont think its really a rainbow because its missing colors and has added colors like light blue and light greem and creamy red. Maby you should do something like that. What is your favorite color? Maby you should use your favorite color unless its like dark and does not match anything. (you know.) 4years ago when my daughter was 15 she painted her room kind of a medium blue and when that was dry she sponged on a harlequin purple. It was dark, but what she wanted. She put 2 narrow shelves about a couple feet from the ceiling and painted them to. They were to put her porcelain dolls on and had pegs on to hang things. On one wall she had Disney posters and on another wall she had Nascar posters. Quite a colorful and busy room, I didn't go in there much, but of course she spent a lot of time in there.
So I guess you could paint it any color you like since you have to be the one to look at it all the time and if you don't like it when you get done, just do it over another color.

I would paint the walls a cream color to closely match the carpet. What is important is your accessories. You need to buy pillows curtains and plants. Pick your favorite theme and stick to three colors. Match pillows, curtains and flowers. Example : Three colors in pillows, one of those colors for your curtains, one of them for plants and other items like picture frames etc.
