My room idea...will it be to gloomy? idk...?
Question:Well im painting my room Chocolate Brown. On one of the Chocolate brown walls in putting Hott pink, light pink, and white polka dots (in various sizes). I found a reversable hott pink and light pink for my comforter. Im gonna but brown pillows (that have designs on them) on my bed to bring in the brown. gonna get a light pink rug and a pink chair. Im also putting a huge D (in white) on a wall between my 2 closets in fancy writting. im 12 if that helps... idk if it will look good or be to gloomy? wat do you think?
p.s. my dad will do the work hes a painter.
p.s. i want it to look like loungy/ starbucky.

if the lighting is good it wont look gloomy. if the lighting is so so you will have no choice but to get some more lighting
I think it'll be cute! But also, light blue goes really good with brown... maybe you could tie that in somehow as well.
It depends on the shade of brown. You should use a milk chocolate shade, not a deep brown.

if your room is large and bright, then it shouldn't look gloomy. if your room is small or dimly lit, then it might. if that's the case, consider getting some more lighting or try just painting one wall brown, maybe the wall behind your bed, and the others a light pink (and you can put brown polka dots on those walls). another idea is to put a strip of molding up like 3 feet from the floor all around your room; you can paint the bottom half one solid color and the top have another color and have the polka dots on the top half. that combination of colors sounds pretty though.
