What type of carpet is most hard wearing/durable/washable ?
Question:for childrens bedroom?
Answers:
Berber
I recommend berber. It is really durable, can take a lot of abuse and the weave really holds up in high traffic areas. Further, most manufacturers have great stain warranties and the weave alone makes it easy to clean up spills and stains.
through out my house i have 90% wool twist, it isn't a too a deep pile, but it always mops up well if you get any spills.
My friend got carpet from the home depot that is actually cut into tile like pieces. You put them together like a puzzle but it is really easy. That way if their is a spill or stain you can just replace the damaged piece. It also looks like a solid carpet, so no worries there.
Berber all the way.
80% wool 20%nylon or 80/20 twist pile cleans a treat.
costs alot more but will give years of service!
I agree with the berber. I have it on my enclosed front porch which get a lot of traffic. I use a carpet shampooer on it once a year and it looks great afterward.
Axminster or Wiltshire
