Bedroom Work?
Question:K. I have had pink everywhere in my bedroom since I was 8... and I don't think I like it anymore. What new color could I paint my walls? The problem is that my floors are pink. So should I stick with painting my walls a shade of pink? Would the pink carpet look good with a different color wall?
Answers:
You could do a light green color, yellow, white, brown (on the walls) - they all work with pink.
You don't sound like you are too sure about not liking the pink walls. Maybe its just the accessories you have in your room right now. The colors I mentioned (and black) in accessories may just give you that little bit more you are looking for.
You could, for instance, go with a Paris theme and do black as your accent. Think a pink comforter with small black polka dots, an eiffel tower, pillows with those colors and with French words or images. The website listed is just one with some ideas.
pink & brown work really well together. if you're not excited by the brown, the maybe a tan or beige would work for you.
Pick a color that goes good with that shade of pink. Paint the walls the color that you choose and then get decorative rugs the color of your painted walls. I say a lime-green or orange if you have a real groovy pink and try brown or white if you have a princessy pink.
Paint your walls a soft charcoal grey. Add silver, white and chrome accessories. The pink carpet will look great with this color combination.
If you aren't pleased with that, you may want to turn to browns with the pink. Once again, add white, silver and chrome.
enjoy your new room!
I like black walls with pink accents. My daughter had a pink carpet and I added black wallpaper with a print on it- it looked very rich and tastefully done.
How about lime green on one wall and the remaining walls white OR lime green walls with pink circles. Bedding can have lots of throw pillows in white, pink and lime green
