Should I remodel/renovate upstairs or downstairs first?

Question:I'm buying a 2-story house that will need new floors, paint, probably some electrical upgrades, and remodeled bathrooms. I'm thinking about living downstairs while the 2nd floor is being worked on, and then living upstairs while the 1st floor is being worked on. The electrical upgrade part would obviously be easier to do all at once, though. Which floor should I fix first?

Answers:
Second floor. The dust and debris from the upstairs work will settle down to the lower level and would make a mess of new work down there.

2nd flr, first, When you are carring things in and out you wont damage the new work if you did the 1st flr first.
upstairs first and let the workmen finish downstairs latter and go out. If you work up stairs latter the working people shall keep spoiling the done portion of down stairs too.

Even If you have stairs from outside, it make sense to finish up stairs first.
