Question:Im having my bedroom re decorated and didnt know what to have it like. Please tell me what your daughters room like and i would really like the answerers to have daughters between the ages of 11-15 because im 13
Answers:
A complete tip. Can't see the floor for shoes and stuff and she hangs her clothes from the picture rail so you can't see the wallpaper. She's 15 so I'm not tidying it for her - anyway she goes mad if I do as she can't find anything then.
it's completely hypothetical
im 13 too and mine is purple wallpaper and blue carpet but i really need new curtains because they have fish on like my room used to be. My sisters is browns and beiges with a huge bed! She has a furry rug and its nice, i would love my room red! Just choose your favourite colour and either get wallpaper or paint then do some stencils on it.
I don't have a daughter, but my younger sister's room is like a rollar coaster. One day, she'll have it spotlessly clean, then the next day - a tornado hit. It seems like she has 5 million pairs of clothes, so when it gets dirty, mostly it's from all the clothes all over the floor.
I've never seen my daughter's bedroom.
Nor has anyone else.
The screams were unbelievable.
And just what does 'random' mean anyway ?
One of my daughters has retro, bright pink, purple, lime geen. Big funky flower.
The other has hers done in pink and brown. Clean lines, stripes.
My daughter has a cheata theme. We painted the walls a Deep pinky red almost coral , and put up tropical curtins with cheata print in it and glued feather boas to the bottom...My mom painted her old desk black and decopag cheata wrapping paper on the top and draws then sealed it.
Wraped feather boa around a lamp with a cheata print lamp shade.
How large of a project are you undertaking?
New paint and carpet? New furniture?
New comforter or spread and curtains/drapes?
Find a comforter you just love and work around that. Find curtains or miniblinds that coordinate or you could use interior shutters.
If you are really creative, buy a plain comforter and find sheets you really love. Buy two flat sheets of the appropriate size and stitch them together inside out on 3 sides. Insert the comforter into your homemade duvet. You can then wash the duvet whenever needed and save wear and tear on the comforter.
Decide on a color or shade of a color in the comforter to paint your walls. Depending on the size of your room, you can go pale or rich, deep tones. Pale shades will make your room seem larger. Deep shades will make it seem smaller but warmer. You can do all the walls alike, or one a deeper shade of the other three or wallpaper one.
If you are not replacing carpeting but don't like the color or condition of what you have, consider a large area rug over the carpet.
If your room is large enough, set up "zones". Your bed is your sleep zone of course. Set up a desk and some shelves for a study area. A comfy chair or loveseat makes a nice place to visit with friends, read a book, watch TV, chat on the phone or listen to music.
Make sure you have good lighting, especially in areas you will be studying or reading.
What sort of activities do you like? Choose one or two and use that as a theme. Music? Sports? Ballet? Fantasy? Angels? Collect a few items to decorate with to carry out that theme.
Add some nice picture frames for photos of friends, pets and family if you would like.
Hi My daughters room is aqua and light aqua on alternate walls. Then we painted using masking tape silver squares randomly it looks really good. Good luck. Go on the Dulux web site and you can design your own room and make a virtual bedroom changing the colours..
My daughter is 16 years old and her bedroom walls are periwinkle and the trim is white with a tint of the periwinkle. She has pleated white shades on her windows and a berber rug that matches her walls with specks of darker blue in it. It's really a pretty room although it's hard to describe. It's very soothing and relaxing. She has a desk with a hutch where she keeps photos and books. She has a vanity with all her make-up and perfume bottles. She has an arch shaped media stand, which you can look at on this website http://www.ergoindemand.com/media-stands... where she has her ipod speaker, stereo and her CD's and trophies. She also has a disc gear cd holder http://www.discgear.com which stores a lot of cds and makes finding them easy. She puts her stuffed animals also on the top of this and she sprays them with perfume or room deoderizer to keep the room smelling nice. Above that she has a metal wall art of music notes which you can see on this website http://www.touchofclasscatalog.com... Just put in the search bar either item # Y647-001 or put Rythm Metal Wall Sculpture. Her television is on a black metal stand which swivels and above that she has a metal clock that looks like a movie film reel. Above her bed are her awards, ribbons, certificates, etc. that she has earned. On the other wall are 2 framed posters (a lion and kitten on one and a glow in the dark puzzle of a horse which she glued and framed) with the colors of her room in each picture. Her comforter does not match her bedroom at all, it's just bright sky blue with a horse running in a pasture, she has a horse and that's why she chose that one. She has glass shelves on the walls that display her statues that people have given her as gifts over the years. Behind her door is a full length mirror. I don't know what info you're exactly looking for so I pretty much described just about everything in her room.
