Office decor?
Question:I work at a social services company. What should I put in my office to make it seem less bland?

In addition to the other suggestions of art and plants, I think placing a table lamp on your desk, such as you might have at home in your living room, helps set a more personal mood. Also, desk accessories with a little flair, and maybe a photo or two, depending on the clients you serve.
Try indoor plants.
Plants are nice but without sunlight it is not a great idea.
Use as much color as you feel comfy with.
A pretty tissue box,some paintings or paint your phone.

I'm always partial to framed movie posters. Something from the '70's is always hip.
Cool desk lamps. Those flourescent lights that offices use are just horrible. The ones above my desk burnt out & I asked maintenence not to replace them. I prefer the incandescent light of a 40 watt.
Get an oil painting...they have inexpensive hand painted oils at Art Gallery Outlet. They frame it and everything- check there.
