Modular Home Question?

Question:Need to know the pros and cons of owning a modular home, true cost to build, a link with some prices and the best modular home builders out there.

Answers:
There are a lot of horror stories about them but there are a lot of horror stories about stick built homes too. The upside of modular is that they can be cheaper and higher quality that stick built. The problem is keeping water out at the seams and fitting everything together well in the field. They are fast compared to stick built. They can be build in a couple months from finish of the foundation. A down side is that they tend to be limited in configuration but that is how they get to be cheap.

You won't get a real answer here. Go to any modular sales area and ask the pro's. They will be more than happy to answer your questions, and refer you to customer's so you can judge for yourself.

When you make your decision, google the type you want. You will NEVER get prices from the manufacturers, but there are distributors listed.
