Can anyone give me an estimate on how much a 16x16 basic wooden deck would cost?
Question:I am trying to do this on a budget and don't need anything fancy (trex deck etc.). Thanks!

go to home depot and price the wood..i built an 8X12 deck and it cost me about $300 with the pillars, 2X6's, screws, ect..i used redwood, but there are lots of different types of wood you can choose from..if you get cheaper wood, then get the redwood stain, looks just a beautiful as if you used redwood..
$2 a foot,if you build it yourself.
My husband is building one himself for about $400.00.
We used a 20% off employee coupon for home depot to get the lumber. Lumber costs are different in all areas. Are you having it installed? It would be at least $1500.00 for a basic installed deck.
ours is 24 x 12 and it cost us 1900 using deck blocks
