Help I need a Patio Set and I'm having one heck of a time finding a good one & delievered! :(?
Question:I've already tried...Sears, Lowes, Home Depot & Target. Other suggestions?
Answers:
Surprising Target wasn't helpful. Here they have all of the season stuff on clearance and I picked up a great propane firepit for $165.
Have you checked garden centers, walmart, kmart, we have ski/patio stores here they may have a floor model or clearance sales going on with it being middle of season. Try to find someone with a truck to help with pick-up/delivery to cut costs.
Good luck!
Try Walmart or Kmart, they have had great stuff latley!!
Or try Craigslist.org and seacrh your area...
I just got a beautiful set from Home Depot Direct, free delivery and about 10 days ahead of schedule. I got the all weather wicker because it matched some other furniture I already had and has a 1 year warranty. It is virtually indestructable, too. Check out the Home Depot Direct Outdoor Living Catalog, they have them in the garden section at the stores, or you can go to www.homedepot.com or call 1-800-435-4654. The Java set is $158 for the table and $79 per chair, but they are offering free delivery. Great deal!
I bought a great set from Kmart. Martha Stewart collection.
5 chairs wide with cushions, table, umbrella & stand. Spent
399.00 on Sale. They did not deliver but it was not hard to get in the car. Needs to be put together but was easy. You are not going to find a set put together and delivered for what you are looking to spend.
I've seen many sets on sale now, and several nice ones are under $500. As far as delivery, if the stores don't deliver, then you'll have to ask a friend with a truck, or try to find someone to pay. A good pal may be perfectly happy with ten or twenty bucks for gas and a six pack. That's less than you'd pay for a delivery from a furniture store. (By the way, check out some furniture stores! Some may carry outdoor furniture/patio sets.) Ask around, and see if you can find a "friend of a friend" or an acquaintance who can help you out.
If all else fails, you may be able to rent a small U Haul truck and do it yourself. They used to advertise for $19.98, but that may be so long ago you couldn't even rent the hand-truck for that now.
Try Fortunoff's- they have beautiful sets (and good service). Right now is a great time to buy sets much cheaper. You can buy a more expensive, better quality set for a great deal.
