How do i find out if our china is a valuable antique or not?
Question:we inherited some Lenox china - i tried to search the internet for all the names on the bottom of the china already & came up empty handed. i can't find anything like it on ebay. i just want to know whether or not i should keep the china in the display cabinet or if it's not too valuable can i use it to actually serve in?
sorry - i don't know which category to ask this question in?
Answers:
Find the website for something called "Kovels Antiques". They write books on the value of antiques and if you register on their website, you can write in and ask them questions. They will value your piece for you and it doesn't cost any money.
Also, if you check on eBay again, look for someone who is a dealer that sells the make of china you have and then send them an email asking them about what you have. Many times they will respond with a value and may even offer to purchase them from you.
Take it to the Antiques Roadshow, or look it up on their website.
