Question:i need 19sq foot of decking and there 2.4m long how many would i need
i need 34 sq foot of hand rail top and bottom how many would i need if there 2.4m long ??
Answers:
you cant mix imperial and metric sizes!
You need three of the first and three of the second but I don't understand how hand rails come in squ ft? Surely they just come in legnths
you will need one for each one.
You need to think your question out again goldilocks. 19sq foot of decking equates to something like a strip 19' long by 1' wide or maybe 6'4" by 3', not very big is it? do you mean 19' square? Hand rail required will normally be total length of perimeter if going round all sides, I don't understand the "34 sq foot of handrail" either.
Get some one in to do it for you it saves a lot of hassle and its cheaper in the end you don't have to pay if they screw up if you screw up your left with knackered decking
It sounds like you are buying prefabbed decking to place outside of a door so that you can walk down a set of stairs. You will probably only need one. 2.4m is roughly 7 feet long. The one you wish to buy is probably 4' wide so 7x4 is 28. You do not need 34 sq feet of handrail. You need 34 inch tall hand rail. If they are 2.4m long you will probably need 2 sections. One for the outside and one for the short side to but the house. You are forgetting the railing that you will need for the stairs. This will be more dependent on the number of steps. You will get 2.4 lm out of approximately every 6 or 7 steps for standard steps.
