Some of the beautiful japanese / balinese style spas would look lovely. You already have cream carpet so that makes it easy. Why not paint the walls a warm stone sort of color (like a dark caramel or creamy cappuchino or if you like green a soft bamboo green) and add bamboo blinds. You can add glass urns with pebbles and candles and maybe even some beautiful wall hangings (I made some for my daughters room using dowel rods painted black with pink silk strips of fabric hanging on them with black ribbons tied onto the rod and the silk panel painted with black japanese text and cherry blossoms - you could use any color silk you liked) to create the "spa" look it should be peaceful, tranquil. Why not add a palm or potted plant (even a fake hot pink orchid) in a big stone pot or a natural stone buddah statue on your side table. Use all natural things. Make sure your bed cover is just cream or chocolate color with lots of pretty white, caramel pillows - you can sew tiny pearl shells onto cushions and it looks gorgeous. The white furniture should match nicely.
Besides the cost of your paint - it shouldn't cost too much to achieve this look.
Good luck. Hope it looks nice.
certain things to consider spa's are usually calm places with a bright atmosphere so they are often white or very pale pastel colors something really funky to think of try a pale blue on the ceaing and keeping the walls white it makes the room feel like its taller and the walls are clean or get a pale blue on the walls and paint it on the cealing as well and then maybe sheer white or sheer linen curtains
I have just finished doing my bathroom to look like a spa. I used a pale aqua blue. It's stunning and effective. I have silver/stainless steel accessories (shelving, toilet holder, soap dish) with white and various shades of blue towels and a white shower curtain. If you decide to go with aqua/turquoise, make sure you don't get it with too much green tint to it or you will have difficulty when you are putting on your makeup.
ok- Spa- Calming, Clean, Clear.
Use block soothing colours... white and Brunswick green would be my favourite.
I would suggest white walls with brunswick green trims..
If its a large room you may even like to have a textured light brown feature wall.
Keep your accessories simple, have them in single colours, preferably white or silver. Don't have any accessories in your trim colour, but I'd highy recommend a fern or two, or a large glass vase as focal point with 2 or 3 long stemed peace lillies (fakes normally look better for longer as long as you go for quality)
GOOD LUCK! and ENJOY!
