10 days off! Yippee!! what shall I do?
Question:I now have 10 days off and so much needs doing in the house I just don't know where to start. 6 out of 8 rooms need decorating, cupboards need sorting, garden needs major overhaul it's all so overwhelming that I know, yet again, I will achieve nothing. I know it is unrealistic to try and do it all but I just go round in circles, worrying about it all and actually get nothing done. How do I cope with this?

When, as an outsider, you can stand back from it , it seems easy and it is really.
The trick is to make a list, with the most desparate being first.
If the weather is good, indulge yourself, and say "I am not even considering any other jobs, untill the garden is in shape.
After that, ignore everything, apart from the job, that you are currently working on. If anybody asks about other jobs, just tell them that it is "In hand".
make a list, do which ever job seems most important first, the others will follow.
GO TO THORPE PARK!
Awww, put your feet up and relax a while \(^-^)/
Deal with, and stick to ONE room. Just one!
a list of priorities like 1) food 2)sleep execpt with rooms and jobs instead it will make it easier trust me I've had to do that before it makes you much calmer.
first go to barnes and nobles and check out good decorating books and styles.. then pick out your styles that you like and go from there =]
You could come rub my back for an hour or so.
Pick one project and focus on it, the amount of houses I go to where the owners have gone for the scattergun approach, and have started and stalled diy projects in every part of their houses, you can see the dispair in their faces.
Good luck
