What color of curtain should I choose?
Question:I have orange-brown leather couch, grey carpet and the wall color is grey.My furniture are very, very dark brown ( almost black). What color should I coordinate for the curtains?
Answers:
Yellow, or cream with gold accents
Golden, or lighter shades of orange.
I would use a pale yellow for the curtains. This would match both the orange-brown leather couch but it would also go well with grey. You have an unusual color combination because you're working with both warm and cool colors - but I think pale yellow would work with both.
Choose curtains that are multi-colored with orange, grey, and brown or black.
You need to come to a decision. All your colours are very dark.Do you want to keep a neutral scheme? If so your curtain colour needs to be cream or off-white.But if you use a colour, it needs to be a light colour. You can use- sky blue, lemon, Orange, Beige. Then you can use some of curtain fabric as scatter cushions etc. You don't say if the couch colour is a patterned or plain fabric? If plain you could introduce some pattern. Good Luck!
It depends on your 'style'. A brave look get Orange. If your lucky you may find a stripe curtain with orange and gray mixed with another color. Then you can accent your room with the other color to pull it together. If your not afraid to soften up the room, try a flower patern or polka dots may be more your style? To brighten the room up try a Yellow. A more sophistocated look maybe maroon. If you can bring a sample of your couch or wall color with you, that can help. Good Luck, and keep your receipts just incase.
how about some old vintage looking vertical stripes of oranges and browns?
