You are so totally in luck! Dark green is practically a neutral color, because just about anything will go with it!
If the dark green has a more yellowish tone to it, go with the tans, rusts, golds, peaches, or browns. (warm colors)
If the dark green has anything of a blueish tone to it, go with blues, purples, pinks, or whites. (Cool colors). Not TOO much white, though...maybe just for trim.
Remember: lighter colors will make the room look bigger, and darker colors will make the room look smaller.
tanish
Beige - Tan - something in the light brown range.
Tan. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick out yourself some color charts then decide. I think also a beige with a hint of light yellow...
Pale pink with green is in. Personally I would go with something less feminine. Save pink for the bedroom if you must have it.
What major colors do you have in your other furnishings? Pick one that looks well with the couch. Stay with a light, brighter color. If you're starting from scratch and have no major colors, try something different, light coral maybe?
Get those paint samples from your paint/hardware store and hold them next to the couch. See how well they look. Then try to imagine the color in the whole room. Go with the one that "sings" to you.
I think a beige-ish tope with an off-white trim would look good
A lighter color than your couch would help. Maybe a lighter green for the walls . Art work on the walls with other colors introduced into the scheme.
A light, army green or a golden tan color would look nice.
