There are stick on, peal off wall decorations, look for palm trees. Also, you could get a wall mural for one wall that has palm trees and a beautiful beach scene. Then go with things like a palm tree or rattan lamp, rattan furniture perhaps, or use simple white or yellow curtains with bamboo shades.
If your ceiling is high enough you could add a ceiling fan.
Simple things like candles, embroidered towels and fabrics, tiki lamp (check this out: http://www.hawaiiandays.com/shop.htm),... bamboo bedframe and headboard, green or blue carpeting and paint the walls yellow or sunshine orange, even think of doing a mural- depending how into this you want to get. Palm trees, real or fake, would look nice. You could even paint your ceiling with tinted light blue flat ceiling paint.
Put white sand into a large, flat dish and decorate it with seashells and light-colored candles. They sell this stuff at craft stores. You could also decorate with figurines of turtles, lizards, tropical birds, etc. What about using stuff made from bamboo?
