A rich brown could be pretty but it would close up the room. Maybe a taupe?
Swiss Mist is a good color if you want to keep a open feel.
Sky blue.
Light yellow would look great along w/white trim...or you could do a navy blue looking color w/white trim.
you could use a cream color or even a beige but i think that i would like cream/egg shell better than anything
light brown/tan or gray, but why do you have a red sofa? A slip cover maybe
Cream or latte colour adds warmth without making the place feel small
brown earth tones
dark brown or sunflower yellow with all housing goods wood or bamboo
Burnt Orange would look really good, stay away from nuetrals, you will wash out the red. Go for bright colors that compliment each other,
Rust color or even a reddish brown, which kind of is like rust ... work with reddish brown, beige colors you'll get it.
depends on your taste and what other furniture/decor you have
You can try a rust color.
You can try a mocha color...
Perhaps even a sage green.
have fun...
rosey pink or a nuetral tannish color simmilar to your floors. something light, the room would be to overwhelming if you had bright walls and a bright red couch in the middle of it all.
I love to decorate and in my experience sticking to neutral wall colors are easist to work with. Then rather than the wall being the focus, the room and its contents stand out more. Ilike the neutrals of sand tones, off whites, and such. My walls are painted in one of the sand tones and I am in the middle of redorating again. I am just changing out accessories and adding some new ones and it looks like a different room. This is really an extra if you want to do a summery look and a warm winter look.
red with black trim
caramel
chocolate or caramel.

A tan would look stunning
A cream color would be nice...and paint ONE wall red (as close to the color of the couch as you can get). If you have trim, do it all red except for on the red wall. Do the trim on that wall cream. Then you can throw some red decor here and there without it blowing you away.
