I dont have any blinds for my windows. What can I use for a substitute?

Question:I dont get paid until June 15. Any home remedies?

Answers:
If you have a couple of matching sheets you can thumbtack them across the top window casing( so that you can't see a hole, the part that is facing the ceiling. Pull them back during the day and use a scarf or necktie to hold them together and at night release the scarf for some privacy.
Otherwise, if you have a sari, you can drape that over a rod and have a very classy covering. Hope this helps.

Aluminum Foil will give you privacy until you can purchase something suitable.
curtains or just plain thin rags
I used sheets in college when I had no money.
someone told me to buy some cute funky sheets and drape them across a rod.
You can cover them with most anything I guess, but if you want something cheap that still looks good, Home Depot sells paper blinds that are designed--I think--for covering your windows while you're remodeling or whatever. My girlfriend put them up three years ago..."temporarily" and they still look OK.

Also, you can use the Glad wrap stuff that is sticky--it's called Press and Seal. It will stick to the glass and make it look kind of frosted. It's not going to block out the light, but it will give you a little privacy.
You could get some Redi Shades. They are temporary paper shades that don't look too bad, actually. I believe they're around $4 a shade and you just cut them to fit your window. Its very simple! Their link is below. Click on customer service for a list of where to get them in your area.
