Painting on frosted glass lamp shades?

Question:I have frosted glass shades on pendant lights over my kitchen island that are peeling. I would like to remove the peeling finish, but don't know what is best to use? Also, I would then like to use a glass paint to give them a new look, but am worried about the heat of the bulb reacting with the paint. Any suggestions?

SOak them in a water and vinegar bath.thsi should remove the peeling paint. Once you are done you can use glass paint. It is made to withstand heat. I painted a globe cover and it has been 2 yrs and still like new
