star trek, borg
Ocean, space, lighthouses, wizards, fighter planes.. you don't say what kinds of things you like. pick your passion and run with it.
NO whatever you do stay the HELL away from Star Trek. It is lame, its show sucked and has nothing to contribute in thebattle vs Star Wars, which it would lose. I recommend a sea or possibly space theme. Hmmm..dark blues..well you could always do the 501st in Star Wars or Jedi. heh heh sorry about the little burst in the beginning. hope that helps.
Well...I would watch HG TV then go pick a theme & mostlikely different colers!
A lovely style for a woman or girl using dark blue, would be to use white furniture. The nicest would be French Louis style. Dressing table, drawers etc, with cabriole legs. But this furniture is usually expensive. White furniture,Lemon or Primrose coloured walls, pale blue accents ie, cushions, ornaments, prints on wall.Dark blue absorbs light,so you have to lighten the colour with light colours.Try logging in to Martha Stewart website and check out colour schemes etc. Good Luck!
I'm not sure how old u r so that b BIG range here.. so i'm gonna cover all ::
retro.. dk blu & silver ...
70's ..throw some orange & yellows in..
boy themes or girl? I'm assumin u a girl by u'r name... sooo i'm gonna hit girl themes.
seaside w/ whites & lt bl. w/ the dk bl splashes of red
fairies...
ocean...
dolphins...fish
Italian or French.. they use dk blues.. like colbalt blues w/ brite yellows/reds
cottage look w/ stripes
What r u'r likes? What would u like to visit? countries...states... cities. What is u'r favorite cartoons? TV shows... celebrities. Do u like to garden... birds... fish... animals.. pets... zebra... Do u have a bedspread/comforter.. does it have a design & that mite help determine how to go.
I hope some of these things helped. Have FUN!
Blue is nice. I dont know how dark you want, maybe do one accent wall in dark blue and the others a lighter shade. Try thinking about things you like. Hobbies you have. And it will all flow nicely. Ex. Ocean, Clouds, birds, flowers. Try stencils from a craft store, they come in lots of styles. Maybe a contrasting color to bring out the blue. Try a nice green vase, photo frames, sheets, or a lamp. I like green, cause its calming. I also suggest painting the ceiling the same color or very close shade of your walls. It's a softer look that makes a room cozy and look bigger too.
We painted my sister's room a navy blue color, with a moon and stars theme. We found a great border that is gold and blue (actually at walmart), and some black metal furniture. It looked really nice. We used yellow paint on the inside of the closet, I think it was called marigold. And we used blue and a golden yellow color shears for the windows. Two yellow panels on the outsides and a blue panel in the middle, so three panels per window.
If you aren't sure about a theme, but really want the blue, you can always try a faux finish. We painted our kitchen using a fall colors, a deep pumpkin color, a lighter orange and a yellow highlighting color. Look for a tool called the woolie or sponge painting... It's a faux finish that makes it look like suede on the walls. Very nice.
Ocean.And space is cool.
How about renting a projector and painting stars of all sizes in metallic silver? Not all over the walls mind you, but perhaps in an upper corner, some on the ceiling and run them down onto the walls and just randomly placing them so that they "trickle" down the wall. Creating a focal point in your room.
Accent in clear glass or crystal and silver accents. Use white on the trim and door(s).
Visit www.wallwords.com and have a stencil created in white and add it next to the stars.
