Question:
Answers:
I would like to know that too!! I dont think you get much nowadays for furniture.
do not be greedy.check your local paper to get some idea what similar items are offerd at.
Most second hand furniture has to be given away or collected by your local council for a small charge, unless it is antique.
About 1/10 of the original price - if it's still in decent condition.
I have a swivel rocker that must have been about $200 new, that I plan to sell at my garage sale for around $20-25. It depends if it's still clean, etc. And maybe no one will pay that much - depends on the buyer. Tell people if the price isn't right you'll consider offers.
It depends what kind of furniture you have, what condition it is in and how old it is. Antique furnisher would give you more than ordinary furnisher. Nowadays people are going for exotic types of furnisher. Pine is on the increase. So you might have bother selling certain types especially dark woods.
A good guage for how much to sell second had furniture is to check on your local craig's list. I work as a designer & many of my clients purchase furniture from there. These items are usually priced to sell so depending on how long you want to wait raise or lower you price accordingly.
