to make them more interesting just buy the little stickers that says stuff like< this was a fun day> he is stupid and so on...
match the frames,if no frames then frame the ones you want to stand out

light them up with track lighting

You can group them in a collage type of setting with various themes.Such as different events like birthday parties, graduations and weddings.
Mix them up so you don't have all the same size frames - you want some vertical, some horizontal, etc. Lay them out on the floor and play with them until you get a grouping you like - then start hanging!
I personally like an eclectic look when it comes to photo collages...if thats your thing , here are some ideas: Shop around at thrift stores and fleamarkets for frames you like..a mixture of bronze and porcelin frames looks nice. All different styles , sizes and shapes. You can even find some "vintage inspired" frames cheap at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Randomly hang the pictures..take a step back and see where you think you need to fill some space. To fill the space , throw some small vintage mirrors , vintage plates or saucers , anything that appeals to you and goes with the theme. Here is a photo of the closest example I can find:

Buy some nice floating shelves to group them on or put up a chair rail for some.
Rotate them, don't put them all up at once. Less is more usually.
Or make it a focal point and frame them all the same or put all black and white in mismatched frames -- 3-5 in a row and down as well.
