Would this look okay together? Kitchen wall with backsplash...?

We have tried in vane to find tile that matches everything, we have considered a simple black tile also, but I think it will be too overwhelming.

is u'r counter top stainless steel? I think u may get to many elements going in the kitchen. IF u had stainless steel appliances, i think it would great.
The black tiles could look a bit dark esp if u want to resell in a few yrs. Is the walls a red or orange/red? i was jst wondering. What about choosing a creme base desgined title for u'r back splash. that may brighten the kitchen a bit. or faux stone they sell at the Home Depot etc. u need some texture in there..
When i c u'r pix... i see red tone over powering. Which isn't bad, but then i c the black & nothing else U need texture & some accents.
also... u have such beautiful cabinets, I'm afraid w/ the color u have chosen, it kinda hides them. NOT that i don't like the color... i do! But it's too close to u'r cabinets & they don't stand out.
but i'm afraid u may have trouble selling those black splashes.. when Kitchens r a BIG seller now in u'r house.
it's my opinion.
I like a very clean and simple design, so I'd go with the second one.
